August 6, 1945
The Atomic Age Commences
August 6, 1945 - America initiates nuclear war against a prostrate and already destroyed Japan. The bomb - proposed as a ‘superweapon’ by Albert Einstein and a quorum of his co-religionist colleagues to President Roosevelt - was intended to be used to annihilate Europe and its people. The Greater German Reich having been destroyed, and millions of Germans and other European peoples having been ethnically cleansed and the entirety of the Continent being occupied by American and Communist forces, the United States unleashed the bomb on Japan.
The destruction of Hiroshima killed approximately 150,000 people - with as many as 100,000 dying instantly as the bomb detonated.
Today we honor the Martyrs of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and salute our Japanese comrades.
It would be cool to have an episode of Mindphaser or series with Pete Q on Japan at some point. Maybe too big a topic, but the other day my dad was talking about watching Ultraman and Speed Racer as a kid, just like I watched Dragon Ball Z and played Nintendo, and I realized that Japan has actually had an outsized cultural influence in America and given that it was an Axis power it would be cool to have the perspective of a Right-wing partisan on Japan’s place in the history of the West.
The conflict in Asia is mainly the fault of the European colonial elites (French Indochina excluded) refusing to allign with Berlin. In response the Japanese brutalized many European frontiersmen. The atomic bomb was the response to the race war that ensued.
