I’ve never been able to understand why West aside has the drug markets like it does. Englewood is terrible, but people don’t tell you to go cop there, they always say “go to Cicero”. Why and how did this dynamic develop?

Well, like BIG D said, WEST SIDE is ''about the MONEY - SOUTH SIDE is about the BODIES''. Translation - SOUTH SIDE is kinda the BLACK HOMELAND - dudes GANGBANG there owing to DEEP ROOTS. The WEST SIDE is HEROIN CITY - PART of this is ACCESS. You can reach the SPOT in 20-40 minutes from 94 or rt 290 from the SUBURBS, and be BACK on the road in MINUTES. Part of it is cuz NEAR WEST is an interface ZONE. LATINS, BLACKS, ETHNIC WHITES (who are making a COMEBACK owing to war refugees). Reasons like that. Plus the WEST SIDE has ALWAYS been GANGLAND. THE OUTFIT heartland was GRAND/OGDEN.
If you're a 'WOOD or especially a SQUARE/civilian kinda WHITE person, you will have a PROBLEM potentially down SOUTH. SOUTH SIDE is very LIT. WEST SIDE is too, but unless you're obviously up on some bullshit - and assuming you're NOT a young female - locals won't really pay you any attention if you're WHITE and walking around out WEST. IF you're on a main drag like CHICAGO AV or CICERO.

If you are from Kansas the first strange thing is that everyone is Black. White people stick out like a sore thumb. So much so that at the 2 min mark he’s at a gas station as 11th precinct cops come in hot to “clear out the dealers” and even though the cop has seen this YouTuber’s videos and marks him as no threat, it’s still in his nature to basically say ‘White skin, WTF are you doing here?”
Endless open air drug markets, dudes propositioning him, people sitting down standing up, nodded out on dope. Safe passage workers. Boarded up houses, empty lots.
He goes to the 4400 block of West Monroe and explains this one block, about 12 houses, has had 8 people shot in one year.
He basically says the same thing as Big D, ‘the south side is KILL, the west side is profitable drug markets.’
